The Farmer’s Market in Fujino started in 2015 to provide a chance for young local farmers
to sell their organic produce face-to-face within their community.
Since then it has grown into a huge community-driven initiative not only serving the most fresh,
unique, and carefully grown organic produce but also providing an experience where you can enjoy live music from a DJ,get a therapeutic massage, eat a meal made with locally grown organic produce, followed by some baked goods.
Environmental awareness and unity as a community is also an underlying factor
that drives the event as there is a shift towards using environmentally friendly packaging,
and recipes using what’s sold at the market are regularly updated on the website.
As the saying goes, early bird catches the worm.
